#3:
Emerging
(Disturbing?)
Trends in the
Adoption of Treatment
Guidelines at the State
Level.
Many
states have already or are
considering adopting medical
treatment guidelines for
workers’ comp. But in some
cases, the fox has been left
to guard the hen house, and
the concept of guidelines is
getting flipped on its head
by some in the medical
community including device
manufacturers. We will
inspect the recent actions
taken by many states, look
at who and what has driven
the decisions to adopt
various guidelines, what
role evidence-based medicine
has played, how the trend
has evolved, and outcomes
resulting from various
strategies. Case studies
will reference
positive and negative
experiences
among Arizona, Georgia, New
York, Oklahoma, Louisiana,
Montana, Kansas, Texas,
North Dakota, Ohio and
California. Never before has
this national story
been synthesized and
illustrated in such
revealing fashion, delivered
as part of ODG "In the Know"
with Phil LeFevre, a careful
observer, active participant
and effective narrator for
this timely tale. |

#2: "In the Know" on
Mobile Pro.
What’s
the "411" on ODG Mobile
Pro? How is it different
from ODG? What content was
targeted, and how does it
work? An insider's look
at the new mobile platform
for ODG, we'll lift the
cover on the development and
presentation of this new
technology breakthrough in
delivering evidence-based
medicine, medical treatment,
UR and return-to-work
guidelines via smart phones
and tablets, including email
and preauthorization
capability. This free ODG
seminar will serve as an
introduction to the new
mobile guideline
delivery,
and how you can use it to
ensure your interests and
those of the injured worker
are well-represented
both at the point of care
and during UR. |

#1:
An insider's look at ODG, we'll
examine the Web version from the
perspective of a seasoned tour guide,
focusing on medical treatment,
utilization review, and disability
duration guidelines. Know just where
to look for the information you want to
improve and benchmark health outcomes in
workers' comp and non-occupational
disability, and waste no time in getting
there. This free ODG training demo will
serve as an intro for new and potential
users, and confirmation
for existing users that they are getting
optimal benefit from ODG. You won't want
to miss the first installment -- a
general overview of basic
principles and navigation using ODG
-- in what may become a recurring series
of specialized topics, ODG "in the know"
with Phil LeFevre. |
