ODG Mobile Pro: Order Now

ODG Mobile Pro is a platform-independent mobile Web application designed for use on any smart phone, tablet, Mac or PC with a web-kit enabled browser (i.e. Google Chrome or Apple Safari). Click here for a brochure, view a 20-minute demo here (or, if your system is not equipped, visit us at YouTube.com), or place your order now for a risk-free trial subscription at $149 annually, or $99 for existing ODG subscribers.

ODG Mobile Pro delivers the four pillars of ODG, known as the ODG “super content”. Specifically, this includes the (1) Procedure Summaries, (2) Return-to-Work Guidelines, (3) Drug Formulary (Appendix A from ODG Treatment) and (4) UR Advisor (coming soon). This is the high value, high volume, high velocity ODG content – as identified and sought after by ODG experts and insiders worldwide  – sourced right from the Web version of ODG and updated on an ongoing basis, delivered in a user friendly touch-screen interface for access on any smart phone or tablet device.

Providers, case managers, reviewers, and adjusters can quickly and easily summon, review, capture and email each of over 2,500 treatment recommendations and 10,000 RTW Guidelines from ODG, along with the supporting medical evidence, from anywhere in the world using their favorite mobile device, framing preauthorization, prior authorization, utilization review, and medical management transactions around evidence-based medicine (EBM). Real and lasting cost-savings in workers’ comp can only be achieved through the delivery of quality and timely care, and this is accomplished by limiting uncertainty, ambiguity, adversity, delays and disputes in the payer/provider relationship. Take action with the evidence, using ODG Mobile Pro to ensure your interests are well-known and represented during clinical decisions and reviews, ensuring timely approval using ODG as a roadmap for acceptable treatment based on EBM.

Three of four modules have been released and are in production (the UR Advisor is under development with an anticipated release date of Fall 2012):

1)      Treatment: This module delivers the ODG Procedure Summaries for each chapter from the most current (Web) version of ODG Treatment in Workers’ Comp. The Procedure Summaries provide summaries of available medical evidence and recommendations for appropriate use on over 2,200 treatment modalities. Within ODG Mobile Pro, Procedure Summaries have been streamlined and parsed into sections labeled Recommendation Statement, which indicates if each treatment modality is Recommended, Not Recommended, or Under Study, ODG Criteria, if a specific patient selection criteria or treatment plan is indicated, Evidence, listing the supporting medical evidence and ranking according to the ODG Evidence Rating System, and Full Summary, which provides the full text Procedure Summary verbatim from the Web version of ODG. The Evidence tab links into the supporting abstract for each study, and as with each module in ODG Mobile Pro, users can take action with the evidence by emailing the ODG guidelines and evidence from their mobile device to their own desktop or a colleague worldwide. Filters are available to select treatment modalities by Recommendation Type (Recommended only), by ODG Criteria, by Chapter, or by Category (Imaging, Injections, Medications, Surgery, etc), along with a text filter.

Recommendation Statements are tagged with icons for easy identification as follows:

  • Recommended

  • Not Recommended

  • Under Study

  • Patient Selection (ODG) Criteria is also noted

 2)    RTW Guidelines: This module provides the ODG Summary and Best Practice Guidelines measuring disability duration in days for every reportable condition, all 10,000 ICD9 diagnosis codes. The Summary Guidelines are strictly data-driven, providing checkpoints labeled “Midrange” and “At-Risk”, where the Midrange indicates the time at which 50% of cases return-to-work (also known as the median), and the At-Risk indicates the time at which 90% of cases return-to-work (beyond this point a case becomes an outlier). Two datasets are provided, where Claims Data includes only lost-time or indemnity claims, using a seven-day waiting period (only cases with durations of eight or more days), and All Absence data includes all cases (with no waiting period). The Best Practice Guidelines are more case-specific, providing expected disability duration for each of the different pathways associated with return-to-work using indicators of severity, type of treatment, and type of job. While they are informed by actual data, they also undergo an annual peer-review and consensus process by the Editorial Advisory Board to identify best practices for physiological recovery time. The ODG RTW Guidelines are based on an aggregate of over 10 million cases, the largest lost-time database on the planet. Look-up is by ICD9 code, keyword, and coming soon, ICD10 and procedure code.

3)      Drug Formulary: This is Appendix A from ODG Treatment in Workers’ Comp, and lists all the different medications covered throughout the ODG guidelines, indicating which drugs are supported as first-line treatments in ODG. Status of Y means they are first-line drugs, and Status of N means they are not. Other available fields include Drug Class, which indicates the therapeutic class for each drug, Generic Name, the FDA approved name for the chemical entity, Brand Name, Generic Equivalence, indicating if generic substitution is available, and Cost, for comparing relative cost for a typical dosage and course of therapy. The ODG Drug Formulary is derived from the evidence-based Procedure Summaries from ODG Treatment, and there are hyperlinks from the Formulary entries to the supporting sections in the Treatment module. Filters are available in the Mobile Pro Formulary module to select drugs by Status, Class, Generic or Brand Name, plus cost.

4)      UR Advisor (coming soon):  This module delivers the UR Advisor data from ODG, accessible by ICD9 and CPT © code for every possible match of CPT procedure and ICD9 diagnosis code seen in workers’ comp, over 425,000 unique records. It provides normative utilization data on incidence, frequency, cost and number of visits, along with an ODG Approval Flag – Green (auto-approve based on ODG Treatment), Yellow (auto-approve based on high incidence/frequency and low cost), Red (needs review) or Black (needs close review), which can be used to auto-approve treatment consistent with ODG. Based on about 2 million claims and over 50 million paid invoices representing over $17 billion in actual incurred workers’ comp costs, the ODG UR Advisor is designed to streamline utilization review and medical management in workers’ comp, auto liability, and group health.

Email:

ODG Mobile Pro contains email functionality to capture and send the ODG Treatment or RTW Guidelines to a third party or your own desktop. Built in forms are included to enclose optional claimant information and designate the submission as (from the provider) a Request for Preauthorization, Concurrent Review, or Reconsideration of Denial, or (from the payer, TPA or URO) Approval, Conditional Approval or Denial. This is designed to facilitate communication between the payer and provider and frame preauthorization, prior authorization, and medical management around evidence-based medicine.

Customization:

Customization by payer, MPN, group or organization is available, including defining different fields in the email and communication systems, allowing eFax, adding supplementary content, tagging procedures that require preauthorization or other actions, integration of ODG Mobile Pro data with another software platform, and communication via Web services with an existing claims system or Intranet site. Flexible and refined, contact us to work with an Account Executive and Programming Engineer to mold ODG Mobile Pro around your organizational workflow.

Sponsorship:

Interested among payers and Medical Provider Networks has been to sponsor access to ODG Mobile Pro for their providers and claims staff. Contact us for details and group pricing.

Support and Feedback:

For support and feedback, please use the ODG Helpdesk or by telephone at 800-488-5548 (for international callers use 760-753-9992). Please be candid with your feedback. Great ideas from customers like you are how we are able to further refine and improve the ODG product line to better meet the needs of individual users.
